Fauxmaggio and Tempeh Bacon (Vegan) Breakfast Sandwich

Start your day off right with this delicious and savory vegan breakfast sandwich. The combination of creamy Pepper Jack Fauxmaggio and crispy tempeh bacon is sure to satisfy your taste buds. Served on toasted whole wheat bread, this sandwich is packed with flavor and nutrients.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of whole wheat or multi-grain bread
  • 2 tablespoons of vegan butter
  • 2 ounces of tempeh or tempeh bacon
  • 2 tablespoons of (any flavor) Fauxmaggio
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • lettuce leaves or other greens
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Spread vegan butter on one side of each slice of bread. Place the bread butter side down on the skillet and toast for about 2 minutes, or until golden brown.
  3. Remove the bread from the skillet and spread 1 tablespoon of Pepper Jack Fauxmaggio  on each slice.
  4. In the same skillet, cook the tempeh bacon for about 2 minutes on each side, or until crispy.
  5. Assemble the sandwich, cut it in half, and serve immediately.
